01 / The Mission

You are closer than you think.

Most Christians I know are worn out from being told they aren’t doing enough. They heard the sermon. They felt the weight of it on the drive home. Then Tuesday arrived and life went back to being life.

Here is the good news nobody says loudly enough. Discipleship is a life you grow into, and the growing is almost always ordinary. A phone call you didn’t want to make. Twenty dollars handed over with nobody told.

Those small things count. Jesus sees them, names them, and keeps working. He is patient with slow learners, which is every one of us.

So the aim here is simple. To know him better, to be known by him, and to keep walking that way on the ordinary days.

Grace covers the days you blow it.

Peter denied him out loud, three times, and still got breakfast on the beach. You are not disqualified.
You are being formed right now.

Mostly without noticing it, into someone who looks a little more like Christ each year.
